Ontario Handball Coaching Conference a Big Success
Handball Ontario hosted it’s first coaching conference in Toronto in late March; bringing together close to 20 coaches from all levels from across the province to drive forward handball coaching development.
The conference featured several excellent presentations from renowned coaching experts in multiple handball disciplines.
Alexis Renaud, the Technical Director of Handball Club Toronto, led an informative and fascinating session dedicated to the indoor game at the club level, while USA Women’s Beach Head Coach, Michi Mensing, led an incredibly detailed and insightful discussion on the development of beach handball coaching.
Former Canadian men’s national team head coach, Alexis Bertrand, gave attendees a highly entertaining and engaging look at what it takes to lead a nation through Olympic and World Championship qualifying campaigns.
The conference was greatly supported by the Coaches Association of Ontario (CAO) and Handball Ontario thanks them along with Handball Club Toronto for their continued support of handball coaching development.
The next coaching conference will take place during the 2024/25 season and those interested in learning more about how to become a handball coach are greatly encouraged to contact us to participate.
